Newly-designed, water-cooled 4-cylinder inline engine with turbocharging and optionally with and without charge air cooling. 

Open DVERT® Exhaust Aftertreatment System (EAT) with DEUTZ oxidation catalyst (DOC) installed either away from or onto the engine enables the fully maintenance-free operation of the EAT for all applications and environmental conditions. A closed DVERT®wallflow particulate filter (DPF) is available as an option. 

500 h oil change intervals and a maintenance-free valve train result in low maintenance costs and increased availability of the machinery. 

The powerful Common Rail injection system and highly-efficient combustion process with cooled external exhaust gas recirculation ensure optimum engine performance at low fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. 

Best cold starting properties even under extreme conditions. 

The extremely compact engine design with structural oil pan and a customeroriented, modular system of optional add-on parts reduce the installation costs and increase the number of applications. 

100 % power at flywheel end for axial or radial drives, two optional side power take-offs, mass balancer and optional 

auxiliary compressor drive. 

The TCD 3.6 meets the requirements of EU Stage IIIB and US EPA Tier 4 for mobile machinery. A variant without EAT is available as an option for less regulated markets.
